The wind blows with strength today
The mourning dove speaks in it's own way
The sun shines brightly upon the ground
The day is filled with springtime sound
The world outside is full of life today
The mourning dove speaks in it's own way

The Transition Of Foam Board Destined For The Garbage
Where I work we get a lot of stuff packed with foam pieces that there isn't recycling in place for. These pieces end up in the garbage but sometimes they speak to me so I create with them. The idea and the finished project don't always end up the same but it can be fun.

Curing A Bout Of Anxiety With Paint
Yesterday I found myself wrestling with feelings of anxiety. It was Mother's Day and I guess that should have made me happy. Though any holiday tends to make me anxious. My grandson was over like he is every Sunday, happily playing that stupid video game. The man was sitting playing his stupid video game and the television was on. I had most of the day to do what I wanted since the boys wouldn't be over until later but I couldn't get myself to settle. There was this feeling of seriously I feel like the odd man out yet again, like I just didn't belong. So I got out my paints and painted just to not be able to over think things like I usually do. It kept me absorbed for a bit so I guess it worked.

I Like To Make Things Out Of Throw-Aways
Where I work we get home decor that is often packaged with styrofoam sheets. This last time my mind came up with a couple of projects to use them. I made a bulletin board with two eighteen inch square pieces, using fabric, hot glue and other things I had hanging around. My second project is hopefully going to be a large faux metal wall hanging using the foam sheets, foam tubing, plastic straps cut up and hot glue. So far I have the relief part done. Now I need to get paint to get the effect I am looking for.
